Welcome to the homepage of the

VW Bus Festival e. V. & our VW Bus Community!

We invite all VW Bus lovers and enthusiasts to experience the fascination of the VW Bus together.

Bring your VW Bus

– whether it's T1 to T7, ID.Buzz –

LT or Crafter,

whether it's a street or off-road vehicle,

youngtimer or classic,

daily driver or a gem –

everyone will find their place here and

can connect with like-minded people.

The 18th VWBus Festival in Kallinchen is now history –

and what a ride it was! 🚐🔥

Four days of sunshine, starry skies, gearhead chats, the smell of barbecues, VWBus love, and

the unmistakable soundtrack of 1,000 clattering van doors are behind us.

From the bottom of our hearts: THANK YOU to everyone who joined with their buses, kids, dogs,

ideas, insanely good vibes, and endless patience. Without you, it would’ve just been a field in Kallinchen

– but with you, it became four days of VWBus Festival madness deluxe. You made this festival what it was:

a glorious mix of chaos, improvisation, and pure fun.

One thing's for sure – it was epic, chaotic, and wonderful!

Yes, we admit it – a few things got a little bumpy. The electricity had its own festival schedule (sometimes on, sometimes off – very alternative), the showers nearly broke the “all-you-can-splash” record and were so popular we seriously considered charging admission, and someone somewhere definitely lost their cable in the void or brought the wrong fire extinguisher.

But hey – we laughed, we sweated, we cursed, and we found solutions –

and when we didn’t, we just opened a beer.

In the end, what really matters is: you had fun, and we laughed together.

We had it all:
From the legendary early-morning bread roll service (which felt a bit like Christmas – either you overslept,

or the bag was already empty 🤷‍♂️), to the colorful kids' corner, where little ones ran wilder than some Syncros

in the off-road area – while mom, dad, grandma and grandpa listened to the stage program.

Our workshops and activities were in high demand:
At the T3 Workshop and the Recovery Workshop, there was plenty of tinkering, geeking out,

and – did we mention? – geeking out.

Of course, the fun on wheels wasn’t missing:
The scenic drive through the area, convoy romance for pros, and the orientation rally proved

that GPS, brain, and co-pilot can have three totally different opinions. 🗺️😂

In the off-road area, "The Rebell 1 & 2" tore through the mud like there was no tomorrow – and

many of you used the free driving area to kick up dust clouds worthy of a place in history. 💨

The food mile had everything a hungry festival belly could dream of – from fries to cocktails (yes, cocktails

count as a meal 🍹), and the cocktail bar eventually created more festival vibes than some gas stations

with beer fridges. 🍹🍟

There were also vendors, an info booth with T-shirts, merch, and tombola tickets –

with some amazing prizes up for grabs.

A highlight for many:
Our Show & Shine with all those "shiny vehicles" – the Syncros especially proved

once again that dirt and shine can be a match made in heaven.

And of course, the legendary awards – for longest journey, the orientation rally winners,

and the Show & Shine champs – you’re all wonderfully crazy (in the best way)!

As a team, we sweated, hustled, ran cables, hauled beer crates, consumed coffee intravenously,

and developed a new superpower: festival-level improvisation.

We won’t lie – at some points, we asked ourselves: “Why are we doing this to ourselves?”
But then we saw you – laughing, partying, barbecuing, fixing vans, swapping stories, and soaking it all in. And that’s why we do it.

Your enthusiasm, the wild bus stories, the colorful fairy lights, and the legendary conversations

– that’s what makes this festival unforgettable.

Without you, it’s just a big field in Kallinchen – but with you, it’s the most beautiful meeting place

for VWBus lovers out there.

Now, we’re officially in “cable-salad-detangling-delirium”, but our hearts are full

– with your laughter, your stories, and that unique VWBus Festival feeling. ❤️

So: thank you, thank you, thank you!

❤️ We hope you didn’t just go home with sunburns, mosquito bites, and dirty feet

– but also a heart full of memories and maybe one or two new friendships.

And don’t worry: after the festival is before the festival. So go ahead and repack those cable drums,

fire extinguishers, and fairy lights – we’ll see you at the 19th VWBus Festival – with fresh bread rolls,

cold showers, and even more chaos, we promise! 🚐✨🚐✨

Now grab a beer, wine, cocktail, water, coffee – whatever floats your boat –

get comfy on the couch, and relive the 18th VWBus Festival one more time.

Click here to see more! 😊
